Wing Luke Museum

We performed a major renovation of the historic Kong Yick building to bring it into the site for the new Wing Luke Asian Museum. The renovated 59,500 square-foot space, now fortified by a structural steel seismic system, is the first affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution in the Pacific Northwest. Portions of the existing structure and finishes, including exterior windows, were salvaged, restored, and reused to offer an “immersion” experience, transporting patrons back to the turn of the 20th century.
